Giving

Why give?

The Bible teaches that everything we have belongs to God and has been given to us through him.  Giving back recognises this and demonstrates our trust in his provision (1 Chron 29:14). The other reason we give to God through the church is to enable us as a church family to be effective in our worship, ministry and outreach.

If you would like to help support the work of St Michael’s financially there are a few ways in which you are able to do this

To give regularly or as a one of gift please set up a Bank Standing Order, BACS or Internet Banking payment – to credit:

If you currently pay tax, we, as a Church, are able to claim an extra 20% on top of any financial giving. ( E.g a £100 gift would be topped up by the government to £120) Each year this adds multiple thousands of pounds to the Church accounts and helps us to do so much more. If you are able to do this please could you contact Alex Davis, our Operations Manager, who will make sure to add Gift aid to your gift.

Specific causes

If you want to give a gift to a specific cause, you have a couple of options. You can drop off a check or cash at the Church Centre in an envelope with the name of the group you want to give the money to. Or, you can send a bank transfer using the provided details and include the reference below:
